Meet the Scurry

Mike "Squirrel" Andrews

Chief Wrench Turner / Owner

Ever seen a squirrel on espresso? That’s pretty much Mike when he’s in the shop. Nicknamed “Squirrel” for his boundless energy and uncanny ability to zip from job to job without missing a nut, Mike’s been obsessed with how things work since he could hold a wrench (or at least pretend to).

He kicked off his mechanical journey in the Marines as an F/A-18 mechanic, because when you can keep fighter jets flying, a Civic is basically a toy. After the military, he dove into IT, welding, and fabrication—basically any field where he could build, fix, or tinker with stuff until it was better than new.

In 2019, he launched SQ Motors with a dream, a toolbox, and probably a few busted knuckles. After a few pit stops along the way, Mike is back, fueled up, and ready to wrench your ride into shape. Whether your car just needs a tune-up or a full mechanical resurrection, Squirrel’s got your back.

Motto: “If it’s got nuts, I can fix it. If it doesn’t, I’ll weld some on and fix it anyway.”

Jade "Doc" Byars

Jeep Technician / Squirrel Whisperer / Manager

Don’t let the nickname fool you—Doc isn’t handing out prescriptions unless your Jeep’s throwing codes. A former Army Medic and Healthcare Specialist, Jade brought her battlefield focus, steady hands, and tactical mindset from combat boots to steel-toed boots. With multiple advanced degrees and a serious love for all mechanical things, she’s the one who torque-specs in her sleep (and still double-checks for good measure).

Known for her attention to detail and passion for getting it just right, Jade is an up-and-coming force in the Jeep world. She’s as comfortable under the hood as she is in the clinic—whether it’s diagnosing mystery smells or building out trail-ready beasts with surgical precision.

The newest member of the Scurry, Doc’s got the grit, the brains, and the boots-on-the-ground dedication to make sure your rig doesn’t just run—it Gits!

Motto: “Built for war. Tuned for battle. Break it, and I’ll build it better.”
